DIRECTOR OF SPECIAL SERVICES - DR. SANDY MERCEDES The Department of Special Services is partnering with Union County Division of Children and Youth Services (DCYS) to facilitate our participation in the Youth Global Day of Service. This national event encourages our students to conduct community service projects and activities that benefit their communities. On April 28th, the office of Special Services, located in room 125 in Hillside High School, served as a donation site for youth to donate shelf-stable snacks that were collected and then distributed to youth who visit Union County Community Drop-In Centers! DIRECTOR OF DATA, STUDENT INFORMATION & ACCOUNTABILITY - KRISTY WEAVER The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) recently released the New Jersey School Performance Reports for the 2021-2022 school year. While we still strive to meet some specific benchmarks, we are proud to report our progress for English Language Arts (ELA) Growth according to the "Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)" accountability targets. Districtwide: Exceeded the Standard for Language Arts Growth!
DIRECTOR OF GUIDANCE - LYNN RANDLE Congratulations to Ms. Ebong and the Hillside High School Junior Engineering Technical Society (JETS). The team will be competing for the Best - In - Nation Honors which will be held in Louisville, Kentucky from June 29 -July 2, 2023!
